Did exactly what I needed it to and was easy to use.

I was looking for an inexpensive external for my iMac and this works out perfectly. Don't think this will have massive speed, but it does serve its purpose. Plug and play file transfer, movie viewing, and music transfer.

Good use on watching Blu Ray and coping music.....

The dvd reader is nice size, compact and works great.

Works great with Microsoft Surface Pro. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it does not come with video software. It work right out of the box with Windows 8.1.

This thing is tiny and easy to store in a small pocket. Quiet and most important, does the job. If you need a disk drive for your laptop that doesnt have one, this one is great. Used it to watch blueray with and no issues. Movie played all the way through no glitches or hangs. So far so good.

This is a great buy for an external blu ray player. I've used it quite a bit but never achieved over 6X read speed for extracting data. DVD was a little faster than Blu Ray but neither was near saturating a USB 1.0 speed much less 3.0

I normally use Sony products without exception but after using other LG products, I find it hard to fork over more money for other brands when LG fits the bill. My bottom line to any product is reliability and so far my LG writer has performed during the most critical data back-ups

Bought this item to go with Surface and it works great with 1 USB connected. I tried another brand from another store before this and it would not work unless connected to 2 USB's which my Surface does not have.

I have used it to load 1000+ CDs into my computer, burned music and picture disks and watched many DVDs with it as well and it works great!

I bought this for use with my surface pro 3. It works great, but it should be noted it works with two usb ports. If you only have one (like myself) be sure to pick up a usb splitter as well. The direct hookup to a usb port on a tv was unexpected, but works great!

This portable blu ray player is compact and seems well made. It hooked up easily and ran without a hitch. It was a descent price and the best part is that it came with blu ray software that I wasn't aware of. Nice!

Awesome product, my gf needed this to hook up to her notebook laptop for school. Weird that it is still USB 2.0 when most of the devices are 3.0 now. But overall good product she uses it frequently.

I can run into best buy and speak with great sales people to narrow in on just what I need. This was much less then budgeted and it does everythind I need it to do and does it well. Also veryc ompact when I am on the go,

My purpose was to find a Blu-Ray player for my new MacBook Pro. This product fills the bill but only after the purchase of additional software. Wish my sales rep was better informed.

I recently purchased this along with my laptop as it did not have a drive. I mainly wanted it to read discs but liked having the option of playing movies if I ever needed to. It works great, no complaints or downside.

This was easy to set up on my new Mac. Just plug and play no other things to do. Did not have to use the second USB for power!

I needed an external drive when the one on my laptop broke. Works like a dream. Just plug it in the USB and you're done. Plays DVDs/CDs. Burns DVDs/CDs.
