I didn't buy this for a TV stand. My youngest just wanted an indoor rock climbing wall. It's only fell on him twice. He's such a good boy.

My computer did not come with a DVD player so bought this one for downloading software and occasional Blu Ray movies. Works like a charm.

External drive to replace malfunctioning internal drive. Meets basic need and has good transfer speed.

Plays well as advertised. I still need to test recording speeds, but I purchased it for playing media.

this is noisy and the write spped is a little less than desireable but it works ten times better than the disc drive in my computer

good size and the purpose of this was for a teenager use then was perfect i use with mi apple computer

I wish computer mfgrs would still include disk drives, but as they seem to be ending that practice, this is a good alternative

I was disappointed because the Mac logo is big and easy to see on the box. But there is some very fine, faint grey print stating "Bluray title plays on Mac OS -- Software not included". I called up LG and they told me there they have no such software, but they are "working on that". Grrrrr. Yes it plays normal DVDs on my Mac just fine, but being able to also play Blurays on my Mac was a big selling point for me, so I feel deceived by the phrase "Bluray title plays on Mac OS". There is a Bluray software disc for Windows included with the product ... not for Macs.

After a couple of opinions on the right device I settled on this one and I am pretty happy so far.

Had some trouble installing on computer and had Geek Squad do it for me. It works great now!

the Quality of the of the player is fantastic. Now I can watch DVR in Blue on the road or during my school courses/downtime.

Love this, no skipping with the movies or games. I have not needed to record with it yet. It does not heat up too hot. Love it!

I was told it would burn blue ray dvd by a geek member but it does not lol. does play blue ray and works for that purpose

Since I could not afford to get a laptop with on built in this is the next best thing.

Had to buy a Wondows 10 program for playing DVDs as included program did not work on W10
