It has worked well thus far with no issues. Easy plug and play ability with Windows 10 / 11. Works great with reading old CD's, even with smudges.

Great external DVD-RW!

As a geography teacher, I have a collection of DVD’s of places from around the world. So, I really needed something to play my DVD’s. This came to my rescue! It works great and is easy to use. Only downside is having to install the software on the laptop. Not a normal problem, but since my laptop is school property, I had to obtain a lot of approval to do this.

It works great and no noise! I was concerned about this. It's portable and great for on the go. The tray is not very strong but my computer wasn't either. Buy the insurance if you are questionable about it.

Took a star off for the "mechanal flow" disk holder dose not eject smoothly and you have to manually close it. This would be fine except as I mentioned earlier it's light and feels kinda like it could break or not last long. I could be wrong - hopefully but just what I observed. Have not used the write feature yet so can't really rate that part. But it's simple, basic and does the job so far.
