A great external burner

After 30-50 uses, not a single wasted disc due to mis-writes. Plug and play, and reliable. I would definitely recommend better software (IMGburn is a great, lite, free alternative). Overall, well worth it!

Handy basic portable drive

Good for disc duplication as well as pulling data off old CDs and DVDs. Can play DVDs with help of an app, but you're better off using the one on your TV.

It was important to plug it directly into my laptop (rather than my hub of usb items) to get it to work consistently. Once I figured that out, it's been great! Yes, it needs to be placed on a level, non-moving surface for best performance (not my knee while watching DVD's in bed!), so now it's permanently assigned a place on the shelf above the desk my laptop sits on and "alls well with the world!"

Their computer had NO DVD Drive at all, and it was necessary to add on this unit to be able to install DVD driven software for the office. The client has had NO issues with this unit. It is inexpensive and does the job. I HIGHLY recommend this item for others in similar circumstances.

Most small computers do not come with a cd/dvd player and an external is required to view cd/dvds. This player is small, lightweight and has performed well.
