Laptops no longer have optical disks, so I needed this device just to re-install old programs on my new machine. It was on big sale, so it was totally worth it.

Mixed Feelings about this Device

It came with no info about setting it up to use. I had to call the LG tech support section to find out how to install the software app to make it work, and have the tech walk me through burning a CD with it. There was nothing in the meager documentation that came with the device.

Buy one before the new tariffs kick up prices

I wanted the Asus, which was $5.00 or less expensive, but it wasn't in stock. Without thinking much about it, I snagged the LG. And, yeah! I put an old MS Office disk onto a laptop that didn't have a CD drive. It saved buying a download of MS Office 365 and $100.00. The CD version works fine.

Good DVD Drive
