Easy hookup/pnp. My windows 10 laptop and my wife's Mac recognize it right away! Nothing to install or configure!

Bought this on sale as an additional disk drive for my desktop to copy cd's. Using it as a reader and my desktop cd drive as the writer. I have only used this 3 times so far, but seems to do the trick. Using Windows 10, just plug and play. Did not have to install anything more since desktop already had Power2Go for Dell. Physically, the drive seems too light and a bit flimsy, but not a problem since it is just going to be sitting on top of my desktop cpu.

I was in a pinch and needed a cd drive quickly. Best Buy stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. I received this in about a day, delivered right to my house. No complicated set up. Just plug in and play. Thank you LG and thank you Best Buy for making my life just a little bit less complicated.

This DVD writer performs as expected every time. With today's ultrathin laptops and micro mini desktops, one needs one for most computers. Even my larger all-in-one does not have a DVD drive, so I own several of this particular LG writer.

I still like CDs [and DVDs] – especially to play when going to sleep at night and while driving in my old car… this is great to make me new ones to listen to. Also for storing pictures from my old computer. The price was low enough to take a chance on this, and I am very pleased with it. My husband’s new computer had no drive in it so this helps for some old info. Very satisfied.

Priced well and worls perfectly. I have a good collection of cd's, which i wnted to add to my new computer's music library. There was no learning curve. I just plugged it in and voila!

I have used this DVD drive for making a System Recovery disk for a Dell Inspiron 17 7000 laptop computer and my daughter is using it to play SIMS 4 on the same computer. It is working fine. The computer has only 2 USB ports so we have a 4-port USB hub plugged into one of them and this drive is able to work while plugged into the hub leaving the second USB port for an external hard drive.

I bought this when it was on sale and it has not let me down. I used this to upload old CDs that I found to my laptop and this worked perfectly. The sound it makes is quiet enough that it didn't disturb me and works fast enough that I had no problems getting through tons of CDs in a short amount of time. It does feel a little flimsy as it is very lightweight, but I've had no problems so far when using it.

Got the LQ External DVD and found it real easy to use. Love how compact and small it was.
