Needed an external DVD drive

I had to load some old software from a CD. I took a chance and visited Best Buy in hopes of snagging an external DVD drive with USB connection. WaLa! I was shown the LG 8x External USB Double-layered DVD +- RW/CD-RW Drive - Black, and feel in love. A purchase from heaven.

inexpensive external dvd writer/player

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great drive if you rarely need a dvd drive for your laptop, and you don't want to spend much money. the drive can also be connected directly to your tv without a computer to play dvd movies. it's all plastic, so you'll need to be careful when you throw it in your bag, but a plus is that it adds very little weight. it meets my needs as a backup drive and since it's powered by your USB port, I keep it in my travel bag with a few blank dvd discs.
