It is light and thin - fits in bag nicely. This is my first one so I'm not sure how these drives normally are as far as durability. I am concerned that it seems flimsy and feel I need to be careful where I put it in my bag. I might get a dedicated case. Not a big deal and good for the price, but that's the reason for the 4 stars.

USB CD/DVD Player

At the same time, I bought an Apple CD player and an adapter. Turns out the Apple CD player was not compatible with my new iMac, and Apple had no plans to make one any time soon. Bought this CD player from Best Buy, and along with the USB adapter, works perfectly with my iMac.

My only critique is the length of the included cable. However, I'm sure you have a usb extension laying around. It's not a statement piece. You forget it's on your desk. There's no shiny pieces (PERFECT). It's just a device that works when you want it to, and doesn't stick out when not in use.

Plug & Play right out of the box, recognized by my windows 10 laptop no issues. Got this to replace the same kind that was 8 years old and took a fall. Comes with a CyberLink software disk, which was like a bonus. I wasn't aware it came with software.
