They should really rename LG DVD Writer AND Player!!! I have had trouble finding a quality DVD player and liked the LG Brand of gadgets. LG labels it a DVD Writer but is also a very quick and easy DVD Player!

It is light and thin - fits in bag nicely. This is my first one so I'm not sure how these drives normally are as far as durability. I am concerned that it seems flimsy and feel I need to be careful where I put it in my bag. I might get a dedicated case. Not a big deal and good for the price, but that's the reason for the 4 stars.

I needed a way to make backup discs and music DVDs, so I went back to the store and purchased this CD-RW drive. The software disc is included, and once I loaded that I found that making a backup disc, a music disc, or making a copy of a music disc was a siple, straightforward process.
