Basic portable drive, that works. Nothing fancy here. The cache buffer size of .75 MB is smaller than the normal 2 MB's I've had on "internal" DVD writers in the past, but I suppose if it works with no issues then it's not a problem. It's powered thru the USB port, so no need to plug it into a wall outlet. It meets all my needs at a nice price. I personally use my own burning software, so I have no opinion on the included software.

I have many CD,s Glad this is still available. Easy and convenient to operate. It does the job of playing well. Thanks for a great product.

Quick operation, quick setup great little DVD player/burner - ended up purchasing a 2nd one so i could leave at work.

I purchased this because the computer I had purchased didn't have one in it. Very easy to set up and get going. I have used it to install some of my older software and used to burn some disc for music cd's. I would recommend this to anyone.

Thankfully this portable is small enough and lightweight enough to include in our laptop's carry bag

I purchased this because my new laptop doesn’t have a cd/dvd drive. I have already used it several times with flawless results. Its only drawback is that it won’t read blue ray, but that’s no consequence to me since I never played blue ray on a laptop. You can get one that reads blue ray, but it costs more than twice as much—not worth the extra expense imo. This one does everything I need.

Stores and plays files on disk; copies wefficiently, and its silent plays. Great product.

Since DVD players don't come in new computers anymore, these external players come in handy. Didn't care much for the software that came with it, but other better software is readily available.

Does what it needs to do. The only "issue" I had with is was that you really need to push down quite hard on the disk to get it to snap onto the post of the drive. It feels like you are pushing too hard, but it really does take a bit of pressure to get the disk to snap onto the post. Getting it off is pretty easy. After you do it once or twice, you get used to it... Again, does what it needs to do. Used on Surface Book 2

Works great with my MacBook Air and was much more affordable than the Apple version.

This is 100% a plug and play device. Our newer laptops don't have DVD read-write drives, we needed this to send some medical records out on a dvd. As soon as you hook it up it's effectively installed, and took care of burning the DVDs in minutes.

Easy to use. Works well. Quiet. I wish laptops still came with C/D-DVD players so we wouldn't have to buy this at all.
