Having purchased a new laptop (no drives anymore), I needed a portable drive for file backups. Purchased it and within 10 minutes of opening the box at home, I was up and running. It comes with software so I can use it for what I wanted it for. This is only for cd and dvds (not blurays), but its perfect for those backups. The unit is well built and I'd recommend it!

I still have to burn cds for work purposes and my laptop does not have a cd drive. Purchased this and it works wonderful. I only had to install one program onto my computer but was quick and easy. This is a go to if you need a cd drive. Came with usb cord and all items for it to work. Would recommend

Having gotten used to having it integrated in all the laptops I have owned made me miss it when I got a new laptop. It is slim and not bulky. I have yet to find out if I can burn CDs (yes I still love to listen to my mix CDs in the car, I am old school) but have been too busy to give it a try.

I purchased this item because I have to have it in order to play any DVD’s or CD’s I own. It is a shame computers don’t come with the player as a standard item anymore but companies are cutting cost anyway they can and now CD’s and DVD’s are getting outdated. It is a good product that functions as advertised and I would recommend it if you need one, you can’t beat the price.

I made this purchase because my new laptop has no optical drive and I needed to install software and watch DVD movies from CD/DVD. I plugged in the DVD drive and Windows 11 recognized it immediately. I was installing my software and watching movies in no time.

I've only used this item one time but it worked very well. I was able to play a DVD on it on my tablet with the other item I purchased. It worked well on my tablet, which is what I purchased this item for. I don't need a DVD player very often, but this worked.

I bought this on sale. Excellent external drive. You don’t need to use the dvd that comes with it and install the software if you don’t need to be fancy. Just plug the drive in and connect to your PC. The software PowerDVD wanted me to pay after certain days. We don’t need it to have the dvd working. I uninstalled the powerDVD.

It just works as spected. Easy to use and affordable.
