Have not tried it as a DVD player, but am sure I will not be disappointed when I do need to use it for that.

Great drive for a small price

Purchased it and within 10 minutes of opening the box at home, I was up and running. It comes with software so I can use it for what I wanted it for. This is only for cd and dvds (not blurays), but its perfect for those backups. The unit is well built and I'd recommend it!

DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive got to have it.

It is a shame computers don’t come with the player as a standard item anymore but companies are cutting cost anyway they can and now CD’s and DVD’s are getting outdated. It is a good product that functions as advertised and I would recommend it if you need one, you can’t beat the price.
