But strange enough I have not used it yet, still in BOX. Not being on a trip where I would use it in Hotel etc.

It is an awesome addition in case you need to use any CDs, in this day and age, not many laptops and PCs come with this anymore, and it is great to have just in case.

External DVD/CD

Since my new computer does not have a cd/dvd drive slot like my old one, it gives me the opportunity to watch and use dvd/cds that I still have around the use. I also have several teaching dvds that I can use with my students to show animations of various difficult concepts.

It's done great on a laptop with no built-in drive. Gets it's power from USB, so no power cable is needed. Very quiet & easy to slip into your laptop case!
