Will also use to download training videos since new desktop computer does not have a DVD drive. Expect same performance with the training videos and any other need to download data/nformation.

I'm always reluctant to use non-Apple products with either. The Best Buy guys said they used the LG drive with their Mac without any problems. So I thought I can always bring it back if it doesn't. Thus far I have copied photos to 4 CD's using the LD DVR without any problems. More photo's to burn.

Done what needed to be done

Installed easily and worked just as I needed it. The only thing is you would think as old as the technology is that it is a little overpriced, especially considering the USB is just 2.0 and not 3.0 technology. Other than that, it's great and I couldn't be happier.

It is a well made product and connected to the laptop without difficulty. It is not as fast as the CD drive in an older desktop computer.

Pretty basic

It does play movies or loads programs. I needed a drive in a hurry. Grabbed this one,and it does what it is supposed to do. I do think it loads slower than main drive in computer. But it was not working at the time I bought this. Good for emergency use or if you need extra drive.

Included software allows you to read and write files to media but, does not allow you to watch DVD movies without paying for software upgrade. After researching online found recoumended free app to be able to watch DVD movies. Wish Windows 10 new install still had Media viewer. Hardware build quality seems good. Would have liked included software to allow DVD movie viewing!

Great playback. Have not recorded a file on the device yet. This review is for playback only, the reason for purchase.
