Worked with little to no effort. I didn't have to install any extra software or troubleshoot anything. I have used it for several hours of active time now without any major issues.

This DVD/CD drive is very convenient. Since most laptops nowadays don't come with DVD/CD drives & you need to burn a CD or a DVD, this is the perfect item. Not to mention, it's affordable. Just to be on the safe side, not a bad idea to have. Last, but not least... it's plug & play.

Purchased a desktop computer in past few months and discovered it did not include an internal DVD/CD drive. Fortunately, I was able to continue making custom music CDs with this external player and soften my disdain for my computer manufacturer.

Looks small, fragile and light weight, but it works. I've watched several DVDs on my laptop without any problems. Hope it travels well, because I want to take it on vacation.

kinda shocking that most pcs and laptops don't have any external media players available (except for the cardslots). This does the trick perfectly... got some old exercise DVDs or the like and need a player? Here is the perfect, inexpensive, plug'n'play way to keep from having to throw the media you have away!

I was disappointed when I learned laptops no longer had CD drives and thought an external drive would be lots of additional $$. Not only was it very reasonable, but it's very easy to use -- and when it's not it use, takes up very little space. Works exactly the way a DVD drive on a computer would work.

My laptop internal DVD drive failed as diagnosed by my GEEK squad agent, so I purchased the LG external DVD drive that works perfectly. If I ever need to purchase a new laptop, I will already have the required external DVD drive, so I am doubly pleased.Pleased

Small and very useful- works well for viewing work -related DVD’s. Shame laptops are no longer sold with built in drives.

Nice to easily watch some of your favorite videos on a new laptop that doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. So worth the money.

So worth it if you have a newer MacBook and still like to use CDs or DVDs.

This does what I need it to do. Easy to use and works well!

The installation was simple and straight forward. Functionally does what it is designed for and is nice and compact. Previous version of the LG drive was a little bulkier so this is nice and sits fine beside an external hard drive. Comes with some additional software programs - power DVD for example

The LG external USB DVD drive is exactly what I wanted. I can use it for a multitude of applications from viewing a DVD, writing a storage DVD or CD, or listening to a music CD. I'm very happy with it!

Just plug in. No software needed. Works on both Apple and PC

Bought it about a couple of months ago, usually connect it to my laptop in order to watch movies. Functions very well. I had some problems with a coupe of CDs that didnt work, but I think it was the CDs fault, since other CDs which I watched afterwards worked really well. I bought this for 20$, and its great value for the money
