I know they a phasing out, however I can use it to view old data, music and movies. And it helps with making data backups to secure files

Plug and play and off and running using Windows 10. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Time will tell how well it stands up to use, but I don't think I'll have any issues with it. Fits easily in the laptop bag for when needed.

Either way worked perfect for my gaming tower that has no optical drive and also my laptop that doesnt have one either. very lightweight and portable to bring on the go in my backpack.

The included USB cable has a micro USB end for the drive. I have a 3.0 USB external drive that does not work with my SurfacePro 3.

Saved the day

I use a lot of music in my classroom so I bought this to be able to play the music for the kids. It was inexpensive but it gets the job done. It’s plug and play so that helps as well.

I just attached the USB into my computer and it was pretty much "Plug and Play". Now I am able to listen to all my CGs that I have had around for awhile and have not been able to listen to.

It's totally plug and play using USB with the cord supplied, and is ready to go as is. It does all I need and much more.
