Bought to use to view DVDs while in hospital, small and compact and works well

If your computer lacks the ability to read multiple formats, this a great solution for $40 Bucks. It really is a plug & play unit and has read everything I have thrown at it thus far. Very simplistic and to the point....!!!

Great price, purchased on Deal of the day. Easy set up just plug in with provided USB and you're ready to go. Current All-in-one setup has no disk drive, this was perfect for some programs I still had on disks.

I was skeptical about this Burner,especially because it gets it power from the USB plug in, but it have surprised me. It get the job done. Doesn't seem like it's to many heavy duty external writers on the market these days. I would buy it again if I need to.

I bought this drive for 50% off (reg Price $40) along with Lenovo 11.6 Idea Pad. I'm not an expert when it comes to computers but I just connected the external drive to my PC and was able to install my Quickbooks software so easily.....so happy with this drive especially with the price I paid.

I bought this DVD drive because all of the computers you buy these days do not have DVD drives built into them. I know that you can write and burn things to CDs using this, but I mostly bought it to watch movies and possibly play old computer games. It's a nice plug-and-play device that can be picked up by your computer as soon as you plug it in for the first time. However, don't bother using the software they provide with the disc, as it's just a demo disc and most of the features that you would want (like playing a DVD) are behind a paid service. I had better luck just finding free DVD-compatible software on the Microsoft store and using that. If you want to use this to burn and write to discs, I imagine the software included would be worth the purchase but it's not what I need. Overall, a good purchase!

Great item to pick up if you're like me and still have a cd player in your car. You can burn music on cd and listen to them. Real easy to use.

I enjoy making dvds of kids events for grandparents who are not savvy with you tube and computers. Most computers do not come with dvd drives anymore, so this little gadget was just the thing I was looking for. It is inexpensive and easy to use. It has come in very handy.
