Great way to add CD/DVD capabilities

I still need a CD/DVD ROM/Burner once in awhile and this is a quick and easy one to use - just pop it in a USB port and you're good to go!

Something I needed

Fortunately it was something I could add. I have only used it once, but it wasn't complicated and It worked. Best Buy had it on special "half off" which made it a great deal for something I won't use a lot.

Great external drive

Both work perfectly.

LG DVD RW EXTERNAL USB Drive

However, the software included from Cyberlink is not as good as the current Windows Media player. It costs an additional upgrade of a $100 to get something for more extensive work.

DVR/CD Drive to Use!

This LG external drive was suggested by the Best Buy staff. When plugged in to my computer, it worked right away with no issues. Replacing my broken computer DVR/CD drive in an economical manner. Good product, helpful staff, the right deal.

Mixed Feelings about this Device

It came with no info about setting it up to use. I had to call the LG tech support section to find out how to install the software app to make it work, and have the tech walk me through burning a CD with it. There was nothing in the meager documentation that came with the device.

This is a nifty device that doesn't even require a power source other than the computer itself (or a TV).

Life Saver

great disk drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.very capable disk drive, able to play the majority of DVDs and CDs i throw at it (with the exception of HDDVDs) i do suggest using VLC media player though so you're not at the mercy of ROMs or whatever program a disk wants you to use by default
