I sing and buy most of my singing tracks digitally, but some venues only have a CD player so I have to burn a CD of the music. It works great and is easy to set up.

Can't beat the price. Everyone needs one of these because no PCs are sold w drives anymore

I purchased this to rip my movies and music to my computer and play my remaining dvd's as well. The Mac OS operating system has the necessary drivers to perform the functions I require and the player/burner is also very delicate but performs the functions quite well.

This LG external drive works great right out of the box. Great for newer Desktops and Laptops that do not come with internal drives. Easy to use and the cable is long enough so you can place it beside a mid tower desktop OR on top. Very convenient to have.

I needed to retrieve some old files after I bought a new computer and this worked perfectly. I was able to get what I needed.

Just plug in and play. I have a newer laptop that doesn't have a cd player. I just needed something simple as far as nothing to download. All I had to do was connect the player to my laptop and it played with no problem! Plus it was a reasonable price. No complaints!

Ultra slim and convenient. All I wanted was a DVD Player for my computer and not some bulky contraption. The sales lady showed me yes and I fell in love. I brought it home plugged it in and Wala it worked great for what I needed!

As my lap did not come with a tray/slot this was a much needed accessory.

I bought this but ended up returning because the upgraded model happened to be on sale for 5 dollars more. Either way worked perfect for my gaming tower that has no optical drive and also my laptop that doesnt have one either. very lightweight and portable to bring on the go in my backpack.

Love that I can still use my CD programs. This unit works really well, and is very easy to connect to the computer.

Not much to really say other than to say that it works as intended. I haven't had any issues whatsoever. I wish it had a little more durability, I do worry about just throwing it in my bag, but that issue pertains to all external DVD drives

LG-8X DVD/CD Drive performed as advertised. Easy set-up while performing flawlessly right out of the box. Pricing was very reasonable. The unit was recommended by one of the Best buy customer reps as being very good deal for the price. He was right.

Works as expected! Nowadays, dvdrw drives arent included in laptops so this is a nice peripheral to have since I still have a lot of dvd/cds in my library.

My laptop computer was scratching my DVDs. Rather than buying a new laptop, I purchased this external drive. It was much cheaper than getting a new laptop and did not scratch my DVDs.

I bought two of these when they were the deal of the day. I've been ripping CDs pretty quickly with these. Plug them in and you're good to go.

Got it today. Plug and play and off and running using Windows 10. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Time will tell how well it stands up to use, but I don't think I'll have any issues with it. Fits easily in the laptop bag for when needed.
