It's a nice edition for a laptop if you don't need a SD card slot. But I needed both so I returned it because my laptop doesn't have a SD card slot.

Bought this to replace my internal disc drive that does not read a lot of my disks. Did not want to replace my old drive so I purchased this external drive. Easy to install and use. Can use this drive on any of my computers.

No additional programs needed did not even need an install disc hooked right up to the HP and started working.

I need to install a program from a DVD to a laptop with no player. I picked this up at Best Buy for about $15. It has since worked perfectly every time I needed it. It is not anything more than a CD/DVD RW device, but if that is what you need this will do the job.

Good DVD/CD to attach to my laptop. It's sad that laptops don't come with built-in players/writers anymore. But, this works great and is fairly lightweight, so it doesn't create much extra weight in my bag. I keep it in my laptop bag so I have it whenever I need it. So far, so good,

Picked this up to use with my all-in-one, which doesn't have a DVD/CD drive. Works like a charm, and the slim profile means that it doesn't take up a lot of space on my desk. I've used it to install several pieces of software on my computer and it's worked great!

good inexpensive purchase. My drive in my computer went out and instead of taking the computer to the shop I purchased this and it works fine. Not like there is a whole lot of programs on disc anymore so it was great

We needed a CD reader for our new desk top. Seems the newer machines no longer come with cd/dvd drive. The product fills the bill an excellent value.

My laptop CD drive bit the dust and I was so happy to find an external one that burned DVDs for me. Plug and play. Doesn't get easier than that!

What can I say? This little drive was purchased a while ago and is still going strong! It is a great value for a person who really needs a portable external drive for their PC or laptop.

This external drive have gone through fairly rough use and it did not/has not failed to work. It has been used fairly extensively - listening to book CD's and now for watching DVD's.

I have been using this with my laptop to back up photos and other files. I can transfer the files to disc easily and had no trouble setting it up.

Perfect for someone trying to do it old school with CDs and DVDs. No brainer to hook up just plug in the USB and your choices pop right up. Simple instructions and easy relatively quick process.
