Easy to use. Filled a need, as new computers do not provide disk players. I trust LG products.

CD's are a rare thing these days - however I still have old family videos stored on CD's and this helped me extract them to more current storage solutions.

Sadly, most computers today come without any form of CD or DVD drive. This one works perfectly and allows me to do what I need to for school, work, and in my personal life.

The LG - 8x External USB double-layer DVD+RW/CD Drive is working as good as I expected and I've been using it almost daily. IT has a nice compact size and it fits in nicely with my other computer equipment.

This external dvd writer was such a good deal and does the job for my laptop. Just remember it’s not a Blu-ray or 4K player so not for current entertainment formats but for business applications, it does the job. Can’t beat the value for this item.

I do quite a bit of film research and I have to purchase a lot of films to do my work. I prefer DVDs because they are less expensive than blue ray. For the price, this unit displays film with a satisfying level of clarity and it is small enough to carry with me easily.

My Dell External Ultra Slim USB DVD Drive (bought 2014) did not work when I upgraded my Dell Desktop and Dell Laptop to Windows 10. The Dell Drive was only compatible with Windows 7 and 8. The LG External USB DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive resolved the issue immediately. Thank you.

CD Drive on PC starting acting up so I checked with Best Buy and found this external DVD/CD Player, it works great. For the price it was better than taking the PC in for repair.

I had to purchase this as my new laptop no longer comes with an internal drive. This is a backup for when I need a disc drive. It works plug-n-play so no complaints. Easy to use and store when not in use.

All-in-one Dell didn't come with a CD/DVD drive. This serves the purpose. Basic. It could be a little more sturdy but it's not exactly flimsy either. Good for the price point.

This CD/DVD reader/writer is excellent. You just take it out of the box, hook it up to your computer and, presto, you are ready to work. I’d didn’t require lengthy and complicated instructions. The price was excellent since I got it on sale. It would be worth it at the regular price.

I'm old school and like my disks. So when I purchased a new computer and discovered that most did not have a disk drive I purchased this one. It does everything i need it to and more. I can disconnect and with out the added weight the new computers are lighter.

Works great with my new computer that does not have a drive. Compact and easy to use.

An external drive is just what I needed to add to a netbook that has no CD/DVD drive. Now I can read and write with those media.
