This player was recommended by the sales person that he personally had this model. It worked perfectly on installation. As I don't always need the player I have not used it very much. So at this time I have only limited experience, but it appears to be everything it is supposed to be.

I haven't really got a chance to fully use the dvd player as of yet. But, what I have done so far, I really enjoy playing cd's. I love the smart, light-weight design and it (so-far) has been easy to use. I would highly recommend this product.

I get that manufacturers are making their computers smaller by skipping the CD drives, and admittedly I don't need it often; but when I do, I do. This is speedy and small enough to toss in the accessory pocket of my computer protective case.

None of our computers have CD/DVD drives anymore and I found myself in need of one. This LG drive was reasonably priced and easy to use. I just plugged it into my Mac and it was good to go. It came with a software disc, but I didn’t end up needing it.

It's nice to have a drive when you need it but have a slimmer laptop. Most programs are online but some things are still on DVD. Great to have this around for those things that are still on DVD. Pick one up - price is great!

It was perfect! Just what I needed. An external hard drive that would play instructional DVD’s. Saved my life as I prepared for my tests.

I use this drive on my Mac. Easy Plug & Play, use it to transfer all my CD’S to my Mac…transfers music very quickly. Can’t beat the price !

I bought 2 of these as Christmas presents--one for my son and also one for my grandson. They were both very pleased when they opened them on Christmas Day, I have been told that they work very well. I would buy them again,

for burning some CDs! It worked pretty easily with my MacBook Air (using adapters of course) and the “burn” process was super quick too!

Works as expected on my Mac, have not used with a Windows PC but I’m sure that would be fine too.

My new laptop did not have an internal DVD player so the salesperson suggested an external player. This devise fits the bill perfectly. I use it almost daily because I am using a guitar instruction program that is on DVD's. Great product.

Most Lap Tops Don't Come With a Optical Drive Anymore. This Is A Must Have. It Gives you The Option To Watch DVDs Movies But Also Be Able To Download Other Files Using CD's . Great Quality.

Does the job! I have picture cd's and this copied all of them to my computer. I got mine on sale.

Since my Lenovo laptop did NOT come with a DVD drive and I needed one, the employee recommended the LG USB DVD Drive. It was easy to hook up and worked perfectly. Great price too.

This works well with an older Mac Air USB connection. Will not work on my new Mac Air with smaller C connector, even with a USB-C converter cable. Bought this to play old DVDs and it works well. Construction seems plastic; not for hard use, but at $25 it's a bargain.

I use this external drive as i no longer have a PC with DVD drive. It has made it possible to read and save a lot of old files.
