Even though I don't have a lot of use for CD's anymore, I still want to watch a DVD on occasion and my new laptop (ultrabook ) didn't have a DVD/CD drive. This was the perfect solution and it's so portable I can take it with me whenever I expect to be out for a while with free time.

It’s good that you can still get these for your disks . . . . . I still have programs and files on cd so I really needed this to replace the one that died in my laptop. There were only 2 to choose from so I picked the name brand, works great so far.

This external player works great. We bought it for my son's computer because his computer didn't have a DVD drive. Quiet play as well and is slim design and doesn't stick it anywhere. Got it on sale too so the price was great.

Works great. It comes with a cable, so just plug it into your laptop and you can upload a CD or DVD. All at an affordable price too.

Has made it possible to play audio CDs for school. Its lightweight and mobile i can use on laptop or desktop. However it makes loud noises that make me feel like its about to break down. not sure if this is normal.

I don't use it super often but it works and it's cheap. So it's nice to have for most modern computers that don't come with a disc drive anymore.

A great addition to add to new laptops without cd drives. As today’s gear is coming slimmer and smaller it has to say goodbye to older accessories but external drives allow you to still use cds for downloads and back ups.extremely easy to use

Perfect to add a disc slot for a computer without one. I hate that they are doing away with the disc slots. Works perfectly though. The price is on point as well. Just plug into USB and you have a slot.

I bought this because most PCs and laptops don't come with disk drives anymore. It worked perfect with my HP Windows 10 laptop! I like that it doesn't need an additional power source.
