Used it to rip 300 cds into my laptop. Didn’t skip a beat.

It was very easy to use on both my PC and my Mac. Just plug and start using.

USB Portable DVD/CD-RW Drive with necessary software included. Coupled with 14" Asus laptop works for dvds when we are out on vacation. The unit is solid, easy to use and attach to the laptop.

I got it because I knew I had some software that I need to install on my new computer. Evidently they don't put CD DVD recorders on new computers. Plug it into one of your USB ports and it works fine.

I bought a laptop a couple of years back that didn't have a cd drive. I finally decided to move my itunes to my pc from my mac because it was dying. I needed something so I could load more cds that I hadn't gotten too yet. This worked great and did everything I needed.

My old laptop's dvd stopped working. This one filled the bill and for the price, it has been well worth the price. Saved me from having to buy another laptop. $25 vs $500+ ... do the math ... a no brainer!

Plugged in and works great. I downloaded third party burning software instead of using the packaged software.

Excited that it will work when needed... Very slim and takes up very little space.

Finally found a dvd burner that my laptoo recognized blank dvd in it. Now just have to get the software to burn dvd's.

its sad that today's devices do not include a CD/DVD drive. This one of the best drives out there for the money. With an Apple device just connect and you are good to go. With a Windows product you will need to install the software or the included CD.

Laptops are becoming thinner all the time, this means that DVD players are no longer part of the computer. This external DVD player and recorder is a good addition. Not everything I use is streaming and so it is necessary for me to have a player and recorder.

This item is being used at our Nurse Aide Training Center, and have been happy with it's ease of use so far.

Tax time came, so I came home with Turbo Tax. With Myer computer, where does the CD go? Oops. Quick trip to Best Buy and $39, the disc drive is connected to my computer, and taxes are finished on time. This unit works on both PC and Apple computers.

With most laptops not having an optical drive, this optical external drive is a must have and does not break the bank. Great for loading software and watching movies from CD’s. Comes with everything you need right out of the box.

This allowed me to load an older version of Microsoft office.

It does what I need it to, burn stuff onto disk. On mine the drawer is a bit twitchy and sometimes the drawer will not open when I press the release button, so I have to use the plan B eject button on the laptop to tell it to open, but it doesn't always stick. It's cheaper than the apple counterpart so I'll live with it.

Does exactly what you need it to do when you need it. Perfect for travelling or dusting off in a corner and plugging it in on the extremely rare occasion it's needed.
