this is my first external DVD RW Drive. so it took a little bit to get used to. but i think i like it. i keep it in a draw and only hook it up when i need it. it's nice because my computer is lighter, and cooler, than it would be with an internal drive.

This is my first time needing to use and external CD drive since the laptop we bought recently did not have one and this worked very well! Plugged it in and the driver software automatically started downloading and I was able to use it in a snap!

Plug and play. Needed an external CD drive for my Mac. This one was inexpensive and easy to use. No need to install software or have an external power cable. Powers via usb. Great choice. No issues with it so far.

Easy to use and set up. I needed to download some new software to my laptop, which no longer come with a CD drive. This is my second purchase of this item in the last 10 years only because I lost my other one during a move.

I had purchased a new Laptop from Best Buy and the new laptop did not have a DVD Drive which I needed a DVD Drive. They recommended me this DVD Drive and it worked great for what I needed it for. Yes, I would recommend this product.

Still need to use dvds sometimes and this works great. Price was good and it included the usb-c cable.

Purchased along with a new HP desktop that came without a built-in CD/DVD drive. It perfectly fits the role of delivering my externally stored files (on CDs) onto the new PC.

Works great! Not sure why it was deemed not necessary in laptops anymore but this is easy to use.

Its is a fantastic item, performed as expected. When you have a 16TB device and what needs to be transferred is on a CD AND your tower doesn't come with a cd/dvd drive then this the the way to go. You will not be disappointed.

It is a good product and I have had no issues so far I use it to down load cds to my computer and on to flash drive for playing in my truck.

Amazing where we are now with computers...I build my own, and my most recent build/case has zero slots for 3.5" drives. I guess that isn't really a thing anymore, and CDs/DVDs are today's VHS tapes. I do, however, have a Plex media library that I still build content into by buying DVDs at relatively low costs, and burn them into a format I can then add to Plex. This drive is a great sturdy USB unit that solves the current design problem, and I got it for about $15 on sale. Have had it for a year with no issues, and still am getting a DVD every other week or so to add something new to my media library.
