Not much to say. I bought it to rip discs and back up data because none of my computers have disc drives anymore and it does that and does it well. If you need a device that can do these things, look no further.

Plug and play, light, effective and very handy and convenient

I purchased the LG 8x External DVD-RW/CD-RW Drive around 5 weeks ago and I'm very satisfied but have only used it a few times to installing software to my new laptop. It performed well and I have no complaints.

Needed to transfer some CDs to itunes, this was a great plug and play alternative to the failing internal CD drive my old PC had.

This LG drive is great for those times you need to load a CD/DVD because your laptop doesn't have one. Simple to use and does the job! Plug and play. Nothing more, nothing less. It's also a good size, slim, and light hence very portable for travel.

I needed to load music from CDs into iTunes -- my Mac laptop does not have a disc drive and this unit was the perfect choice -- plug it in through USB, insert a disc and iTunes instantly went to work. No program or app or anything else needed. Plug and go!

Is a sufficient DVD drive that works well with both mac and pc... and requires no setup or installation. My only issue with the device is it feels super cheap and I'm always afraid its going to break when I take the DVD out of the holder... but so far so good.

Last thing I planned on buying when I bought a new Dell "All-In-One" computer was an external DVD drive. However, for some reason, the "All-In-One" does not have an internal DVD drive. Super easy to set up and works very fast. Very happy with this purchase.

I have been so glad I was able to purchase an external USB so I could use my cds and dvds with my mac.

Computers don’t come with DVD drive anymore and I needed one to upload a lot of music to my computer. I also use it to play DVDs well I do work. It works well and does what it is supposed to.

Really missed not having a dvd drive on my new laptop. Was so glad to see that there was a DVD external drive to use with my laptop. Now I can still use my software programs and install on my computer.

Bought this for use with my new HP laptop and love it. Bought one before to use on my new desktop and they work great.

it works fine not computer expert but did manage to get it working. It took longer than I thought it would. It takes me a long time for any computer items for me. I am glad To have this item in my house.

There isn't much that can be said other than it just works. The computer picked it up right away through the USB interface and linked the appropriate burning software. Burn times are on par with similar speed internal drives.

Completely satisfied with the product. The price was good, too.

I use this regularly to listen to music in my home office. It was so good, I bought three of them for my home and office.
