After researching this product....i decided the price was right and i needed it so i bought it.

The cd/dvd player in my iMac no longer played cd’s. DVD’s play fine. This external CD player fit my needs to play cd’s and download to my iMac. Great little player at a great price.

Amazing where we are now with computers...I build my own, and my most recent build/case has zero slots for 3.5" drives. I guess that isn't really a thing anymore, and CDs/DVDs are today's VHS tapes. I do, however, have a Plex media library that I still build content into by buying DVDs at relatively low costs, and burn them into a format I can then add to Plex. This drive is a great sturdy USB unit that solves the current design problem, and I got it for about $15 on sale. Have had it for a year with no issues, and still am getting a DVD every other week or so to add something new to my media library.

Lightweight plug and play DVD/CD Writer. Write multiple disks per day been using for months with no issue repurchased to use in additional locations.

I purchased this external DVD drive because the new HP laptop I bought didn't have an internal one. I would have preferred an internal drive, but this one is easy to use and works well.

This is a great little CD/DVD drive. I bought this to replace the internal drive that stopped working and so far only a few minor issues.

Plugged in and works great. I downloaded third party burning software instead of using the packaged software.

Works great with my HP laptop, provided I'm not trying to literally use it on my lap! I wish computers would still come with built-in DVD drives, but that's "progress" for you.

I've used several LG DVD drives and never had a failure.

I’m new to these, cause I’m old. Very easy to use, easy set up. Basically, plug and play. I use it for all my disc’s from the VA that I need information from. It’s proven invaluable. Great product, great price.

The LG 8x external CD/DVD drive is a very useful device to have for those of us who still have files stored on CD/DVD's from years ago. The ability to move the files onto the laptop is critical in backing up old files.

Had a couple of things that I needed to install to my laptop from CD/DVD and since it doesn't have a drive I picked this up. It worked great for getting the things I needed installed and I keep it around just in case I need it again later on.

Plugged it into my new MacBook Air and it was instantly recognized and ready to go to work! Using it to download my favorite music CDs so that I can have the music of my choice out in my workshop.

Very Happy with this purchase. Works great. CD/DVD Drive does what I need and got it for a GREAT price. May buy one more.

This portable DVD drive is built to be very simple. It works perfectly and does exactly what its suppose to do. You can switch modes to work as a DVD, Blu-ray or DVD burner. Very happy with this purchase.
