It does everything I expected and easily. Didn't waste time trying to use it.

At first I was a little turned off by how cheap this DVD player feels. It’s made of really lightweight plastic. However, I used it for about two weeks and played 4 different movies on it with zero problems. I’m happy with how it runs.

New laptops don't have built ins of DVD/CD players no more. For $25 bucks can't beat it. I still like to burn CD's of my music and concert downloads...I will be on the road again this summer for my Dead Tour!! Recommend. No issues this far!!

For the price you can’t beat it, unless you can find it cheaper, which is very hard to do. Trust me. Highly recommended.

Bought to go with a laptop without a CD/DVD drive. So far, so good in terms of working as it's supposed to.

This replaced the superdrive for me on my new IMAC since apple decided to go completely to the cloud, which I won't. So I have an extensive cd collection which I can play... also I can transfer the rest of my older video collections and home movies to dvds

Had to get this for Turbo tax because the other one would not communicate with Windows 10 after my update. Seems to work well, I do not use it that much so the price was the selling point for me.

Bought a new desktop PC that did not include a DVD drive. It was on sale at the time of purchase, almost half its normal price. Also works with my MacBook.

Laptops are rarely fitted with internal CD / DVD drives these days. How are you supposed to rip that bargain find from that garage sale? No worries, just plug this bad boy in and rip away! Works as intended, speedily and efficient!

I purchased this when the built-in DVD writer in my desktop stopped working. The software was easy to install and both the desktop and the laptop accepted it. It is compatible with both units and there have been no problems using it.

Bought this to use with laptop as mine didnt come with one. Very easy to install and use. Will not play Blue Ray. Took a little time to figure out how to play DVD. Video and sound quality was impressive. Would buy again

Usable. Efficient, but not exciting. Bulky. Difficult to transport from one room to another. Attachment points unfasten easily and at very inconvenient times. Even the slightest juggling or movement causes it to become disconnected from computer. if you aren't in the habit of moving around, might be alright. But if you are on the move, not the product for you.

I apparently haven't needed to use a CD or DVD on a computer in many years, and haven't transferred old photos/video that is stored on disc (shame on me). When a family member recently died unexpectedly, I was forced to attempt accessing old discs that were as old as 17 years. My iMac has a vertical slot, so not sure if that, plus not using it in so long, is why my discs weren't working. As a hail mary, I bought this external disc reader to see if I could save the pictures. Out of about 20 discs, I saved all but 1 disc's worth of files. Definitely worth it!

Item works great. Very easy plug and play. And I was pleased that the store had it in stock since it was a need-it-today situation.

This item is necessary for those of us who have lots of DVD's in our libraries and still enjoying watching them on our PC's.

Super slim, but yet extremely powerful. Love the fact that only one USB port is needed to power the product. Have had for approximately 1 month and purchased another for traveling. Super great price.
