We have some older software, pictures, and music on dvds, and our newest laptops did not come with drives. This drive plugs into a USB port when needed, and we were able to copy everything to the cloud. Perfect solution!

LG external USB is very convenient whether it’s a hub or storage. External power is always good to have a free up space so your computer is not congested and some even have a cloud source installed where the data is salvage even if the product is damaged you can always upload the data from CLOUD to continue where you left off. Great product

Was easy to set up and get working out of the box. Only thing I don’t like is the weight, seems to be cheap plastic, would have expected a little more strength at price point. Would have waited for a sale but needed right away. Will see if it holds up, got 2 yr warranty for $5 just in case.

Used it to rip 300 cds into my laptop. Didn’t skip a beat.

A great product that is necessary if you want to read, load DVD’s in stripped down model laptops. Very low priced for the utility of the product. Only negative is it is an additional piece of hardware to keep track of and handle.

Never know what to expect but this Sony plays in the big leagues. Disc handling is great and video is excellent as it should be. Plays cds better than expected and passes bitstream to the dac in the avr. Looking forward to a solid performer

Great little DVD player. Doesn't rewind though. Still cute.

Works as it should. I mean its an external DVD drive. The only reason for the purchase was because almost all the new laptops that are on the market do not come with internal disk drives anymore.

Purchased along with a new HP desktop that came without a built-in CD/DVD drive. It perfectly fits the role of delivering my externally stored files (on CDs) onto the new PC.

I've always had an internal CD driver. This external one sets right next to my computer and it's very easy to use.

Had to purchase a cd drive due to my new laptop not having one. Most new ones do not come with one anymore but I needed one to access some items that I saved. Don't really use it all the time but comes in handy, so it is perfect for that.

Its ok just wish it was faster but ok for the price

I like this one for the price. It does exactly what it was intended to with no problems. It might not have all the bells and whistles like others but if u need just the basics for a good price this is it.

I needed to purchase this external drive because my new laptop did not have a disc drive. It appears to be working just fine and I am happy with it.

New laptops don't have built ins of DVD/CD players no more. For $25 bucks can't beat it. I still like to burn CD's of my music and concert downloads...I will be on the road again this summer for my Dead Tour!! Recommend. No issues this far!!
