Once connected to your computer's USB port, your operating system (Windows or macOS) should automatically recognize it as an external optical drive. If you are attempting to play a movie, ensure you have media player software installed that supports disc playback, as many modern computers do not include this by default. Installation was very simple. Just plug USB into laptop and it is ready in seconds. Bought for mother in law and she is very happy with this purchase. So am I.

It does what I needed it to do. No complaints. The compactness is a nice quality, easy to store away. Also very easy to use.

I bought a refurbished laptop and didn't realize there was no place to insert a cd. This was a very good expense and worth every penny. It's so easy to use too.
