Great item works as should ... hooks to laptop as should

Love this little gadget! My laptop's dvd player died completely so i went to best buy and got this little dvd player. Best purchase ever! It works just great and I love watching my dvds on this little device.

Great quality! Been using it to burn discs and read old game discs I had. Good option if you have a case that doesn't support internal DVD drives.

Used it a couple times already. Didn't seem to have any issues playing a DVD, Blueray and downloading some items bought for my upcoming university class.

Real easy to use. I plugged it in, and I was able to upload my cd's to iTunes, just like when the cd drives where part of the laptop.

The LG 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD-RW/ CD-RW Drive works well with my Dell laptop (plug and play). It is lightweight, and the color is nice. I hope it will last several years.

as an Oriskany drive for computers that don't have then built in, this works great. Getting dvd's to play takes a little effort with finding a workable driver but otherwise it works as expected.

Got this on sale and I'm very pleased with it. Extra simple hook up. No extra power connections required. Just connect it and start recording DVD or CD. Also comes with DVD/CD burning software, in case you need it.

Used to transfer my mother’s cd/dvd collection to a hard drive. Easy to use and so far has been reliable. For the price, I definitely can’t complain. I haven’t used it yet to create cds.

This works great. The only thing I can find fault with it is that you have to spend a lot of time installing software for it. It would be better if it were plug and play.

A little confusing how to get started. Just put a written media into the drive and it will kick in. Don't need to bother with the enclosed instruction media to have computer recognize the new drive. Can utilize it after drive is recognized by your computer. Works great and very inexpensive.

Since PC's these days do not all come with dvd roms, this unit worked perfectly for my needs. Plug in, install software and use it. Very easy. Also, a good value for the cost.

The USB drive works great and I was able to plug it right in and it worked without requiring a download.

We purchased this External DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive because our computer did not come with one. We use it to look at the CDs that hold our pictures of family and vacations. Worth the money.
