Since my laptop did not include a built-in dvd drive, I wanted something that allowed me to save files permanently. This device is lightweight and portable making it convenient and easy to use at home or during trips.

Purchased at Brick, NJ Best Buy. My salesman Ibrahim M suggested this, which was on sale. I have used it and it works perfectly

The new PCs aren't manufactured with CD drives so I had to purchase an external drive. I've used it several times and am pleased with the way it works.

The only thing about this is the included software crashed my system. Blue screen of death, couldn't boot to OS any longer had to reinstall with clean version of OS and reinstall everything from scratch. Used windows software and have no problems now.

I needed a USB Drive in order to use CD's for filing taxes on new PC. Set-up was easy and the LG drive was able to read the CD without and download the tax data without any problems. I have not tried to view a movie yet, but I'll be doing that next.

New computer did not have a cd rom drive. Picked this up to load some old files and games/programs. It worked like it should. So, no complaints. Priced right and did the job.

My older family wanted dvds of my Dad's life video and didn't understand how to use a usb or watching videos on the laptop. Best Buy to the rescue with the dvd writer. Easy peasy. Thanks

USB cord is an old style but the drive worked as intended and is now on the shelf for the next time I'll need it (probably next year sometime).

New omen doesn't have a DVD player, but with this doodad, you're as good as gold. No problems with a variety of media, from nasty old CDs to dvds to burning data. Quick and easy to setup, a bargain price for a great product.

Very easy to use. Bought it for work as all new laptops do not have CD readers and sometimes it is better to install programs from a CD rather than a download link.

Since most laptops don't have DVD/CD players any more, I needed this to listen/watch/record. This is a simple inexpensive device that does just what I need.

Bought on recommendation of salesperson for our tv as we don’t have a dvd player…said it would work, but couldn’t figure it out so contacted lg. as it said24/7 help for their product . Anyway, chatted awhile the. Said the needed to send me a form to fill out and get my cc # as there was a $5 charge. My techi neighbor the pm came over and saw that we needed another “connector” at an additional cost of $23 So, now debating whether to keep it or return and get a dvd player.
