I have a Windows 10 PC and my old DVD player stopped working. I also have iTunes Software, so I didn't need to install the CyberLink Media Suite. The DVD Writer works right out of the box. I played music and burned a music CD using iTunes. I have not tried to watch a movie - maybe then I'll need the CyberLink Media Suite. Until then, I will not be installing it. My only complaint is that the USB Cable is too short, but I used another cable I already had so the device didn't have to be on the floor. All in all I'm very please with it.

I needed a drive to burn CDs as my computer didn’t have one. The price was very good. Easy to install, and, with the portability, it is perfect for laptops without a built in drive.

Easy to use, PnP drive. Install windows and drivers on pc. Then set aside for the next time you need to use a drive. LG products are great with a great customer service. Easy buying decision.

HAVE USED THIS WITH OUR NEW LG GRAM 15.6IN AND MICROSOFT SURFACE 6 USED TO INSTALL LEGACY CD SOFTWARE AND WATCHED A MOVIE CAN USE ON PLANE TRIPS MOVIES ETC SPEED WAS ACCEPTABLE AND CONSIDERING THE PRICE GREAT!

Normally, this item sells for $40, but I got it on sale for $20. It is very functional for everyday use as an external optical drive; it may not be the fastest one on the market, but its speed is quite decent.

purchased this as a back up. I bought a new Dell all in one computer, what I didn't realize there was no DVD player like my old HP all in one computer. Happy with this, simple hook up.

Easy to use. Filled a need, as new computers do not provide disk players. I trust LG products.

Great external DVD drive. My new all-in-one PC did not come with a DVD drive and this was a great solution so that I could load some of my older programs that were still on a disc.

Since the majority of laptops seem to not have CDrom and everything has gone to digital downloads, I didn't think I would need it but I have used it several times and it works great and is super lightweight.

I've owned a couple of these DVD burners in the past and didn't hesitate to purchase another for a computer that didn't have one yet. It's fast and reliable.

Very easy to use. No worries if you don't have DVD/CD drive built in. Just plug in and good to go, I'm not tech savvy and this was very easy to use.

When I purchased my new laptop I can't believe I overlooked it having a cd/dvd player rewriter. This is an excellent answer to my error works great and fast enough for what I do.....
