I haven't opened it or used it yet. I purchased it around Christmas time to replace drive that had stop working for my MacBook pro. I was recommended by a trusted friend that this would work

Needed the drive since our new laptop doesn't come with a optical drive. I was impressed that you could hook the drive directly up to television and use it as a DVD player.

Bought this when my new laptop did not come with a disk drive and I need to be able to play various disks for work. This one plugged in and works just like my computer came with it, no problems!

This is just what I needed. Gaming computers don't have bays for these drives anymore and you need one ever now and then. Works great and very small to put away when not needed.

Works great does everything that I need it to do and it is easy to use.

Got this to be able to use Surface Pro with a projector and watch DVD movies. Little hard to set up the driver at first but once everything downloaded works great. Can also burn if need to.

Works great and didn’t cost a ton of money. The Best Buy employee was very helpful in listening to what I needed and helped me to pick out the right product that would fit what my need was.

Works well with the Mac. However did not work with my HP Laptop i3 :( Originally l purchased for the HP. Sadly I will have to purchase a different one for this laptop.

Great deal on a great product. Not only do laptops not come with optical drives anymore, most desktop cases don't allow for them either. I was using old laptops and desktops just to move data to my server. This has made it easier to convert my movies into my personal streaming service. The old stuff was working but it was on old hardware so it was much slower. Now, my whole collection is done.

I would really like to say Thank You to Best Buy Associate Gulshan for all of his help in picking out the right computer and other items as a replacement for my old computer set up. We got disconnected due to our poor service area, through no fault of his own, but he was able to give me enough information that I feel confident I can get what I need at the store. Thanks Gulshan!

Worked well...new laptop doesn't have a cd/dvd drive, so needed this to install some of my software. plug and play, drivers installed automatically on Win10, was up and running in less than five mins.

I purchased this because my computer doesn't have a DVD drive and I needed one for a class that I'm taking. It is very easy to use. All I had to do was connect it to my computer and it was working. No problems with it yet.

Needed to purchase this item as the newer laptops seem not to be built with the DVD in them for one reason or another. But at least it was available and works without any problems with the laptop.

I'm happy with the disc reader...we are trying to get old discs onto Itunes etc... and this works perfectly. Haven't tried any other functions yet, but for the price this thing works great!

I purchased this cd drive because I needed to copy programs onto my new computer. I like it because it’s compact and stores easily. Does exactly what I needed it to do- can’t ask for more than that!

The LG external DVD/CD was outstanding. I can hook it up to my enlarged monitor and movies look good. It was not difficult to hook up. It is very compact and I can take it wherever I go and very compact

Got this external drive at half price with the Black Friday sales definitely beat's Apple's price for a super drive for basically the same thing. Got this for 20$ while the Super drive is 100$
