My disk drive broke on my desktop computer and I wanted the compatibility to download/play disks. This unit fir the bill perfectly. I set it on my tower and use when needed. Perfect.

I bought this because laptops don’t include cd drives anymore. It was simple to set up and use.

Works great for playing DVD, CD, CD ROM, CD/RW etc. Remove from box and plug into USB port. Ready - not set up or drivers required. Comes with some useful software as well.

Works great for my CD's since my laptop side lever for cd's doesn't always spring into place correctly. So perfect alternative.

Needed an external DVD player since my lap top came without a built-in one. The sales clerk suggested this, as it was on sale. Good price. So far, it works. Does just what it's supposed to do. It comes with a disk that makes set-up easy. I am NOT a techie.

Plugged it in worked without problem. Price was great and for the limited times it is used I do not miss it being installed on a laptop.

None of our modern slim laptops have cd drives anymore. For the most part, I use USB peripherals to store or transfer data, but occasionally I want to watch a DVD, or read data off an old cd. This does the trick, and it's portable.

Needed an external disc drive to add cd’s to itunes and it did just that. No issues whatsoever.

I only used it once to load a tax program and it worked fine...I have not recorded anything yet. It is plastic and feels cheap, but I only paid $20 on sale so not a big investment. I hope it holds up.

I wanted something with a bit more speed but for the price does want I want. Luckily it came with a short usb connector but wish it was longer. That said am happy with my purchase

Finding this external drive has been a fantastic find. It had been very frustrating watching progress move beyond laptops having disc slots anymore. Having photos on discs, music on my laptop disappearing with each “update” and then having to buy songs I used to have and still have on CD. This external hard drive has saved the day!

Great player and writer. Had an older model i had to upgrade . could no longer get drivers for.

My new car doesn’t have a CD player, so I needed a way to copy CD’s to a flash drive. For Christmas, my wife bought me this device to use to copy my CD’s. Only problem with the device is that there were no instructions on how to do anything with it. Needed my 32 year old son to show me the copying process. Once he did, the device works great. I now have a flash drive full of my CD’s for use in the car.
