Have used it only a couple of times so far, but it plays well and is easy to use.

Difficult to transport from one room to another. Attachment points unfasten easily and at very inconvenient times. Even the slightest juggling or movement causes it to become disconnected from computer. if you aren't in the habit of moving around, might be alright. But if you are on the move, not the product for you.

CONS: * slower than typical modern optical drives (which are more expensive). * most likely requires another connector to make it work with your other hardware. * requires careful handling--not very robust. * does not play pre-recorded DVDs on a Mac.
