Works for my CD's, not my DVD's

I downloaded the included program, but when I try to play DVD's, it says it can't perform the function. When it comes to CD's though, it was easy to load my music onto my hard drive so I can listen without using the CD. So I can use it for one thing, but not the other. The drive is very lightweight and the door that pops out seems very very fragile, so if you purchase, be kind to it.
