The LG Portable DVD Writer was easy to set up as an auxiliary drive for my laptop computer. The accompanying LG Media Suite software disc for the drivers required a couple of attempts install the drivers. Once the drivers were loaded the product functioned well. The drive came in well designed sturdy well cushioned packaging. The drive is low priced and a good buy for my needs to upload files on disc or store files. I own other products made by LG which have given years of good service.

This is small but does great for disc writing. It’s quiet and easy to use.

Since most laptops don't have a built in DVD drive, you need an external drive for the times when you have a DVD or CD to read. Not everything is downloadable from the internet. I still have software that needs to be loaded from a CD. And, I have embroidery designs from machine embroidery that are on still sold on CD's. This DVD player meets my needs and the best part is the price was right.

I bought this DVD drive for a new laptop I purchased. It works better than I expect, and allowed me to load several programs on DVD that I had used on my ols computer.

I needed to upload a bunch of old CD's and needed a drive. This one was priced right and easily installed. Lightweight and easy to transport with my Mac mini should I need to travel with it.

This is AWESOME! Plug & Play if you have a MAC. I bought it to copy CDs to my iTunes Library. It comes with a software CD but if you have a MAC you don't need to install any software just plug into your MAC and you're ready. Highly Recommend

Quiet, capable and fast. Can be used to play CDs and also rip them.

My HP OMEN does not have a DVD/CD drive, so I picked up this LG at a very reasonable price. Would have preferred to have one built into my desktop, but since it wasn't an option, this will work. it is very lightweight and thin, and I just mounted it under a shelf right above my tower with double-sided foam tape....worked like a charm, and keeps it stable in one place so I can easily load a CD/DVD with one hand just like one built in. Works great and can't beat the price.

Just perfect , had a older game I wanted to put on my new computer. Inserted disc pushed button and in a matter of just a few minutes game was on. Didn’t think it could be, opened game, played game it was perfect!

Bought this for my laptop because it is small, on sale, & does what I need it for.

I am in no way a tech person, but did a little homework by checking out how to install this dvd player. I try the disk that came with it and it did nothing. So I went to install VLC media player and bam I was able to watch my DVDs I really enjoyed this small lite dvd player and it does come with a cord.

This is speedy. Using it mostly for pictures and it works great and is easy to use.

I have used this for about four weeks now and it is an excellent LG CD player. I use it to listen to audio books while on my computer. I have not use to write, or DVD yet. I'm confident that it will work as well for that as well. I'm keeping the box till the return time has expired should anything messes up. For $30 what a Buy at Best Buy. Right.
