Bought this to use as a photo album this is my second one and ot wirks great

Bought this because new laptop does not come with Optical Drive. Light weight, easy to set up. Was able to install software from DVD rom without any problems. The connection is USB 2.0, but reasonably quick. Product comes with software to burn DVD, but surprisingly you need to get other software to play DVD movie. Windows 10 does not have software to play DVD movie anymore, which is really dumb. Overall I’m satisfied with the first use. Hope it will last long.

I like the sleek look and size of the external drive. It's kind of pricey, but it has enough storage for ALL of my previous and oncoming files.

Needed something reasonably priced to play CDs since my laptop doesn't have a disc drive, no fuss setup and works great without taking up space

This is a great lap top. It is small enough so I am always carrying it with me. I do my online shopping before bed. It's used in the kitchen for recipes. The kids watch movies on it, etc. I love the option to use the touch screen or the keyboard and am impressed by how fast it is. I would definitely recommend. It doesnt come with a DVD player though so be sure to purchase that separately.

I purchased this DVD Drive for use with a Mac laptop since there was no native drive. Occasionally, I need to use legacy CD's or DVD's for my work. This drive does the trick and it was not very expensive. Although I have not had any problems with it, it feels a little fragile and I wonder how durable it will be in the long run. Nevertheless, it does the trick for me and it beats spending $79 for Apple's disk drive.

The product I purchased is exactly what I needed. I accomplishes all the tasks I need. For example, I was able to easily insert an old disc containing ancient family photos, and they displayed immediately. The product also enabled me to easily move from file to file. I would add that the product is easy to use with may MacBook Pro. Set up was also not a problem, I would recommend it to anyone,

Ease of set-up and use. If you are like me - old school, use to having the option of a writable cd for burning CDs, videos, and pictures, this is your affordable solution as getting this on your laptop is hard to find. Plug this in and don't worry about the cloud, external drives, and the other techy stuff, us old timers are set in our ways and change can be hard as tech moves so quickly.

This drive does what it is supposed to. Plays and writes cd's and dvd's quickly. It is quiet and small. So far so good.

More and more laptops and PCs are releasing without disc drives. This lets you still use discs, and you only have to pull it out when needed. This also works on Linux. This paired with VLC media player let me watch DVD movies in Linux Mint.

I have had drives before that were hard to use and had limited usage, this product does everything it states and was easy to install. Sound and video effects are sharp and clear. I'm so glad I bought it!

Had to get a new laptop fast and got one without a disc drive because I didn't think I'd need one, until I did. This external disc drive has been flawless and easily handles all of my needs. It's literally just plug it in and you're ready to go. No additional programs to install. It also runs very quietly.

Works great!! When I first tried it I didn’t know if it was ‘stuck’ as it wasn’t showing progress on my iTunes and stayed there until it moved to download the next song. It’s just a little slow, so have patience.

When my father recently passed away, I discovered he had tons of CD's on which he stored photos, music, videos and other family items on multiple "CD" formats. My laptop does not have a CD drive, so I purchased this external unit. It worked immediately and I was so pleased. I've also used it with my IPad.
