It does exactly what it says it does. It isn't fancy, it isn't all that, it'd a DVD RW drive and does it well. It's what I would expect from LG.

The quality is excellent. And at such an affordable price. Didn't require any special configuring -- literally plug and play. It's a perfect addition to the PCs, tabs, TVs, wireless speakers, headphones, ear buds and other items we've bought from Best Buy the past several years. I can listen to songs I haven't heard to in years and pull up photos full of sweet memories. Thank you so much.

It is a very slim and lightweight DVD drive. It is very easy to use on a Windows 7+ computer because the drivers are already installed.

This is a good replacement for a old external unit or a failed internal drive. Light compact and easy to store and carry with any laptop.

I needed an external DVD drive to load versions of software that I had on disk to my laptop that does not an internal DVD drive . This drive is very quiet and got what I needed to get done. The included software is a basic version without the advanced features. So if you want to play movies with it, you will have to use a separate video playing software. This is a very good purchase made from Best Buy

Compact size, great price, and it does a very good job playing Cd's and Dvd's

Most new laptops no longer come with an optical drive & I needed one. When I saw this LG at a good price & it only needed one cord, it seemed perfect. And so far it is except I wish the cord was longer. I did have an old CD/DVD drive which also worked well but needed 2 cords (that was 2 too short cords) and that was awkward. This LG is much better and less noisy.

Slim and lightweight for easy portability. Worked great and very pleased with the speed to make backups. I remember having to use on desktop and huge heavy laptops. Technology has come a long way.

Had to get a new laptop fast and got one without a disc drive because I didn't think I'd need one, until I did. This external disc drive has been flawless and easily handles all of my needs. It's literally just plug it in and you're ready to go. No additional programs to install. It also runs very quietly.

It cost me $17 on sale and it works but I can't say if it's fast or not because the computer it's connected to is slow. Only annoying thing is the eject button doesn't fully open the tray. The eject button just pops the tray ajar and then you have to pull it open the rest of the way. It's really not that bad but it takes getting used to if you're familiar with CD drives that open all the way on their own. This drive is so compact I can see why they didn't want to add the required motor. Because it is so light and because the tray gives a little resistance at the end of its travel you sometimes will need to hold the drive down while pulling its tray open, depending on the surface it's on.

Works very easily. Just ‘plug and play’. I needed it to view the images on an MRI I had. Normally you wouldn’t need to but I am a tech and wanted to see them for myself.

I purchased this DVD Drive for use with a Mac laptop since there was no native drive. Occasionally, I need to use legacy CD's or DVD's for my work. This drive does the trick and it was not very expensive. Although I have not had any problems with it, it feels a little fragile and I wonder how durable it will be in the long run. Nevertheless, it does the trick for me and it beats spending $79 for Apple's disk drive.

Great extetnal drive, been able to transfer all of my music onto my computer. I bought a cheaper version on amazon but it didnt work very well. Returned it and got this one instead. Im still using windows media player. The software for this one didnt work on my Windows 10 computer.

I bought this drive for my wife's new HP All-In-One. As computers no longer have optical drives installed I found this LG product highly recommended. It was Easy to Install and the price was ridiculously low.
