I love this external CD drive! It's super fact and exactly what I needed!! The guys at Best Buy are amazing...they are the ones who recommended that I just get the external drive because the one I had on my HP computer stopped working...but the rest of the computer is completely fine. (The external drive works even better than the internal drive ever did).

It cost me $17 on sale and it works but I can't say if it's fast or not because the computer it's connected to is slow. Only annoying thing is the eject button doesn't fully open the tray. The eject button just pops the tray ajar and then you have to pull it open the rest of the way. It's really not that bad but it takes getting used to if you're familiar with CD drives that open all the way on their own. This drive is so compact I can see why they didn't want to add the required motor. Because it is so light and because the tray gives a little resistance at the end of its travel you sometimes will need to hold the drive down while pulling its tray open, depending on the surface it's on.

Most new laptops don't come with DVD/RW drives, in order to keep the laptops thinner and less weight. This unit is super light weight and works perfectly on my mini-PC which has no drives. I have owned this nearly a year already and used it about a dozen times. It works exactly like it should...just plug and go. And, the price is very affordable.

I bought originally because my home desktop computer didn't come with an optical drive. It has worked great so when I bought my laptop a few weeks ago and it didn't have an optical drive. I knew exactly which one to buy. It's been working great with the new computer too. If you need an optical drive I highly recommend this one.

With Windows 10's constant updates frequently making my old internal optical drives "break", it's nice to have an external drive like this that always works. I'm an old codger that still uses CDs and DVDs, so I had to have one of these. It hasn't had any issues thus far, and surely that's a selling point.

Occasionally have the need to load a CD to my laptop which does not have a CD reader, picked this up an it is perfect. Very easy setup, plug and play, priced right and slim which makes it easy to store or carry in my laptop bag. Would recommend.

This was a great addition to my MacBook system. It hooks up easily and is ready for use right now, nothing to download or install. I use it mainly to add music from CDs to my playlists, but I also burn an occasional disk for friends and family. The cost was minimal and I'm quite happy with this drive.

Its very neat. Very cool. It didnt work for what I had got it for but it does work. Very simple to operate as well.

LG external USB drive are a necessity and this fits the bill. Price is reasonable and functionality and speed are excellent.
