I have multiple computers but none have a disc drive. This has worked on both platforms without any issues. It does have to be hooked up to a computer to eject the desk but why else would I need it if it wasn't? Time to load is about the same as computers with drives. Easy to understand control panel pops up on the screen. Small and light enough to carry in laptop bag.

Slim writer is easy to plug in and use when one is not available. Compatible with many devices. I use daily and it lasts about 2 years.

I had not used an external DVD driver before, so I thought there would have to be some sort of installation or etc. but no, this is super easy and you can basically insert the USB and start using it. Insert the DVD or CD, choose which program on your laptop you want to open it with, and go ahead. Plus, it's very lightweight which makes it easy to travel with.

I purchased this as a way to install my operating system on a new self built computer. Rather than building my new computer with a disc drive built in, I just use this guy as needed. It is completely portable for just about anything that has a USB connection. Super simple to use and it works flawlessly so far. Pretty great price although if you want one for BlueRay you might want to check on others.

I purchased a MacBook Air 13” Notebook and needed an external DVD Drive. The Salesperson highly recommend this model. I burned several Music CD’s and found this model to be easy to use and reliable. I didn’t have to load any drivers to the notebook. This model is very light and slim. Which makes life easier when traveling. Not to mention this item was on sale.

Bought this to use with my new PC. Shocked it was so easy to set up. Plugged it in and that was all I needed to do. Been using it a lot downloading old CD's and this is a fast unit. Some of the CD's are older with scratches and it reads them all perfectly. Really happy I picked up this unit.

was sent a CD to listen to from a composer friend of mine. Who the heck still has a CD/DVD drive to even play such files? put your stuff on music streaming services! This worked exactly as you would want it to. Plug and play. Unlike my composer friends.

Works just as you would expect, glad I bought it. Works with Apple or non-Apple products if you have the right connections.

We didn't know for sure if we needed this device but the price point on this item was such that we felt it made good sense for us and sure enough within the very first week with our new lap top we had a Cause to use this device and it worked to perfection. We are so grateful for the recommendation to purchase this product.

Works great. Easy to burn CDs and playlists. Put own videos on DVDs. Plugs into any computer usb port. Reasonably priced. So easy to use.

Bought it and must have burned about 20 CD's in one night! Quick, efficient, quiet & function-able. Just what we wanted to burn games/movies/music. Also reads discs as most devices these days don't have a CD spot. So we can travel with it as well. Great purchase
