This little dvd player is awesome perfect for my pc

Functions well. No problems and price was right. The best part of this DVD player is that it you can actually plug into the back of a smart TV and play so it’s cheaper than getting your own DVD player

I got this to meet two needs: 1) An ultra portable DVD drive; 2) a DVD drive that would work with my Surface Pro 3. This unit completely fills both requirements. The included software is very kludgy and ad-infested, so I downloaded the free VLC media player, and that works GREAT!

It works well. and easy to use. priced well and helpful it is small in size.

I love how small it is and how crystal clear the picture is. The price was amazing. I would purchase this all over again.

Works great. Plug and play. I only needed it to back up one disk but found myself pulling out my old doom 2 cd rom

Isn't it crazy laptops nowadays don't come with CD drives?! I'm old school, I buy, listen to, and burn CDs. So I bought this drive, and it is doing the trick! I have uploaded scores of CDs so far, all with no hassle. This bad boy is quiet, fast and capable. Well pleased!

I purchased this drive to go along with my ultra-thin laptop that doesn't have a CD or DVD drive at all, and when I hook this thing up it worked perfectly! For a low cost of $20 I was able to add a DVD player and Rider to my very expensive laptop that didn't have one. Probably one of the best purchases I've made this year!

When I discovered my new computer lacked a DVD/CD drive, I wasn't too happy. However, it proved less a problem than I thought after I purchased an external drive. It works great, is easy to use, and small enough to take up little space. Can't ask for more than that!

Great plug and play RW Drive. The unit is super quiet and smooth. This replaced my 10 year old LG drive.

For the first time I bought a laptop with no CD/DVD drive. I still wanted one and needed a small and fast and reliable one that can also burn new discs. This LG has been a great addition and is quiet and faat and has been great under daily use. I even connected it to my NAS for some time with no problems to burn off a backup. Love it.

I purchased this as part of a deal, when my son purchased his laptop. His came with a cd/dvd reader/burner. I had been for awhile for a cd/dvd burner; but had not yet pulled the trigger. My new laptop did not come with an internal one, as some are no longer providing. I do still need one for burning and mostly to copy cd's that I own or purchase to add to my music collection. While it is not the fastest available, the price was great and with the package discount of 20%, the price and the device were more than adequate for my needs. If you need very high speed, for some reason, then I would suggest that you look at the faster version of this; but if just using for copying, etc. it is fine.

The LG 8X external USB double-layer DVD drive is a necessity for laptops these days. Manufacturers are no longer offering DVD drives in several models of their laptops. However, for the type of work I do, I need to burn data and archive videos to DVD for extra security. This external drive was a good value!

Super easy to plug-n-play on iOS. Did everything I was looking for and is so light, I may even travel with it to use on the road.
