It worked with my $200 Windows10 laptop, but the 32bit Vista machine only saw the drive; it wouldn’t run it. And the MacBook wouldn’t even detect it. Both drives just clicked once a second on the Apple. I had to return the LG to Best Buy. Their staff had no explanation, but it was one of them that recommended it to start with. One mfr. site detailed that it worked on 64bit Vista systems, but didn’t say that on the retailer’s description nor on the box the staff member was going by. So I concluded they work on Vista but not the common 32bit versions. Frustrating! The LG drive is thin and light. The door was stubborn about opening and I thought a test disk was good and stuck inside, but eventually the slide opened. I don’t think it got adequate power from its connection to the MacBook. They just aren’t as compatible as touted.
