The size, price & capacity of the external hard drive were what prompted me to purchase the item. I have not yet used it. It will be used as a backup attachment to a new laptop eventually. I expect it to work just fine.

Took me a bit to figure it out as I've never burned disks before, but it's relatively easy to do. Works well, but it is also kinda loud.

The new computer we purchased did not have an optical drive. This unit had a good price and the features we needed (read and write DVD but no need for Blu-Ray). Used it to load programs into the new computer. Speedy and easy to operate

Since laptops these days are typically minus a CD/DVD drive, I needed a drive for my daughter's laptop so she could play a "throw-back" CD game on her laptop. Setup was a breeze and it works like a charm. Price is a real bargain and quality is spot on.

Since most newer laptops are not built with CD-ROM's anymore, this was a great thing to find. For it's compact size it works as advertised. No external power is needed to be operated, runs right off the USB port on the laptop. It reads and will write. Allows me to recover old photos from older CD's and now allows me to download and save newer photos and videos to CD. Well worth the price(not expense at all)

I purchased this because my gaming computer doesn't come with a DVD drive. I works as designed. The software that come with it didn't play a DVD over Zoom. I downloaded a DVD Player from Microsoft and it worked great.

Work great for my set up my music is on cd so i have to use the burner to transfer

Have only used this once but it seems to work well and quietly to access an old CD with pics and videos. As a non-techie I wish the instructions, both the quick start guide the identical User Manuel dealt with more than how to connect the device. The included disc is a hodgepodge of folders and files with no direction on where to go for what. In one place I was told to 'download the app' without a link or app name given. I only hope I can find directions for how to create a disc when I need them

I was somewhat hesitant to purchase this as there were several reviews saying that it wasn’t working with their new MacBook Pro. I purchased a new MacBook Pro in January 2023 and wanted a CD drive so I could import music from my CD collection to my MacBook Pro. This device worked right out of the box; I didn’t have to download any additional software, and it did exactly what I wanted it to. it was $$60 less than Apple’s own external CD drive which, I was reading and reviews for that product, isn’t compatible with the newest Mac computers.

Great DVD product to complement my new PC. It does the tasks that I need and is dependable.
