They're also so inexpensive that I bought one for home and one for the office so I don't have to take it back and forth. Although it's lightweight and compact enough to stick in my purse.

My other CD drive which works perfectly fine does not work with macOS Catalina so I had to purchase this one and it works great.

Theres a small learning of program but once you learn it, its easy. I would highly recommend this item if you are looking for a disc portable drive or even for house use since all computers dont have a disc drive.

Worked just fine

I purchased a new MacBook Pro in January 2023 and wanted a CD drive so I could import music from my CD collection to my MacBook Pro. This device worked right out of the box; I didn’t have to download any additional software, and it did exactly what I wanted it to. it was $$60 less than Apple’s own external CD drive which, I was reading and reviews for that product, isn’t compatible with the newest Mac computers.

External CD/DVD Drive

I went to Vest Buy ro get good advice and Geek Squad. I got the LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive and am completely satisfied with it for loading software and playing training videos. The slim size is perfect, too. USB cord is convenient. Definitely recommended.

It`s nice and compact so it stores away easily until i need to use it again. Unlike reviews for other drives that were hard to open this one has a button on the drawer just like an internal unit.
