I didn't want to spend a lot of money, because this is probably something that I won't be using that often. It does the job. I wish that it had a slide-out tray on which to place the disc like the CD/DVD player that is part of my home entertainment system. Instead, what slides out is a very flimsy appearing spindle apparatus onto which the disc needs to be firmly pressed to seat, and pried off to remove. I won't need to be using it every day, so I'm sure I will be able to make do with it.
