This LG-8x External USB DVD/CD RW Drive does exactly what I wanted it to do. I'm really glad I purchased it.

Had some old CD's and games I wanted to upload to my new laptop, but newer ones don't incorporate these Drivers anymore. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for one and this is what I came up with. Works fine, does what I needed it to do. Not noisy at all and is very compact so it fits in my carrying case with all my other things.

This is a great little accessory to have now that most computers don't have DVD drives. It works for both Macs and PCs. It has a small footprint and can fit almost anywhere. A practical purchase.

It's slim and simply works as it's supposed to. I need this for 2 reasons. Many new PCs don't have DVD/CD drives often required to install new software, use for storing info on a simple disc, or play Videos from disc.

I needed this because I have a case with no 5.25 drive bays. This fits the bill. Burns CD's and DVD's with ease. It worked perfect with my Windows 10 computer. The price was outstanding. I bought this on sale for 20$. Can't beat that. Not complaints.

Inexpensive, quiet and fast. Needed it for my macbook while traveling. Love it. A bit delicate so needs to be wrapped and protected if moved, in a case or with other items. But overall excellent little unit.

Purchased to use in my classroom, as our new computers don’t have the capability to play DVDs, and it worked perfectly for our movie day.

My laptop did not have a CD drive so I had to purchase an external one. This LG-8x external USB drive is small and works great. I have enjoyed watching movies and playing music CD's on this drive.

Put the program CD into the drive (just push the button in front and it will open..I was able to plug it into my computer USB and downloaded an art program from its to my computer.

simple and functional. small and lite. surprising fast.

I used it a couple times with VLC media player and my dvd burning software. It worked great. The videos played perfectly fine and I was able to burn my dvds very quickly. This simply gets the job done in its very small portable size.

Works great. I purchased because my gaming pc didnt have a cd/dvd drive. This has filled the gab. Place dvds no problem

I am very pleased with the disc writer I purchased. I can continue doing workouts at home using this little machine that connects to the laptop. When the weather isn’t conducive to enjoy walking, I just do a workout in the comfort of my office.

Economical and works well. I need a disc player, from time to time. This is useful to transfer old files to newer storage types, i.e. disc to solid state drive.

Very easy to install and work perfect, it is small to hide.

I purchased this for my daughters computer bc it does have a cd rom which I thought was not even possible unless it was a Apple computer. So I had to buy this device so my daughter could watch movies on her computer. My daughter says it works good. So I’m happy with this product.

It's compact form, light weight, and various supported media types make if a great help for those with a sizable libary of disks yet to be converted into digital storage.

I have had built in CD/DVD Rom Drives on all of my laptops until recently. As many new laptop computers have dropped CD/DVD drives to make them smaller, I found myself needing a portable drive and it is excellent. Small, sleek and works great...!!!
