This plug and play dvd player comes with an install disk that downloads 3 software apps none of these apps actually allow you to play dvds you are blocked by a pay wall of 100$ to be able to use the dvd player to watch dvds, burn dvds etc. does allow you to burn photos and files from pc to disc but not disc to pc without going through the paywall. THERE IS A WORK AROUND YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A DVD PLAYER APP AND SOME WILL WORK WITH THIS DISC DRIVE FOR FREE BUT ITS HIT AND MISS
