Since the computer folks have stopped putting CD drives in their product, this is a great external drive to get your music and movies into your computer.

Wasn't sure how much I would use it so I went economy over features. So far I've only ripped some of my CD's and watched a couple DVDS and it has worked well with that.

I've use it about once a week for 2 months and it hasn't failed me. None of my newer computers have an optical drive, so this is the answer.

Thinks happen :)I will love to exchange
