It had been put thru some good use. So luckily this same model was available and so far the new one works like a charm. Great DVD writer that doesn't break the bank.

It takes several minutes per cd. Other than that it was easy to hook up and start using. The software had to go through several updates before I could actually use it.

Great External DVD Drive

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since, most laptops these days don't come with these drives anymore, this drive was a great deal for under $30 dollars and actually works much better than those drives they were installed into older laptops, this is a must buy if you need a dvd rw drive.

Anyways, it works well with my pc didn’t need any software but it comes with one. Also super affordable.

I have even had friends borrow it so for the devices that do not have CD drives anymore this works perfectly especially when you wanna back up and put cd on your devices so you can get rid of the CDs
