I would recommend it for anyone just wanting a standby drive for any computer without one but if you are going to be using it excessively I would recommend spending more. The truth is without the mark up which is always inclusive, you get what you pay for.

So reviewing the product is a bit premature, ask me in a year or two if any files are damaged. Hopefully not. For now, so far...so good.

Had to download 3rd party software, and it still doesn't just play, you have to fool around with the software. Just wasn't as user friendly as I would have liked. Price however was very good...

Read every disc without issue. Burning to media was no problem either, including old long strategy cd-rs. Worked fine with my burning software. Zero complaints.
