Needed a drive.

This LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive fills that requirement nicely.

CD Drive

It's fairly cheaply made but I don't have another CD drive to compare it to either. It gets the job done.

LG DVE+RW /CD-RW Drive

I have some programs in disks that I like to use and like to see some old pictures that were saved on a cd or dvd. I can also play my music cds here.

Portable DVD/CD

This was recommended for the Lenovo. It's still new to me so I have not used it yet. Looking forward to using it though.

Reads Discs, Not DVDs

I have no idea why they thought this was a good time to introduce a new disk format. It DOES NOT read DVD videos (like movies you buy at the store). It is hardcoded as region -1 (not a real region), and you cannot change it.

Does the job

The only thing I do not like is that you have to download an external program to actually use it. And as I don't use it often must dig it up every time I decide to watch something. For the price - does the job
