Great external disc drive

I didn’t know there was such a thing until the Geek Squad at Best Buy introduced me to this. I love it!!

I did buy the accidental replacement plan due to the negative reviews saying it quit working after so long. For me the peace of mind was worth the small cost of the replacement plan.

This is needed for old archives that you might have on cd, or watching movies on your pc, or Mac. This one is average speed, and very reliable. Just plug, and go.

However, that was incorrect. The product required the usual g software that I had to register and make a password. Then after a month of use, the software would no longer work and it showed a message I dicsti g that I needed to pay money for an upgrade in order to continue using f it. Crazy, right!?!

Needs to be powered off of a usb strip that has it's own power supply because the macbook air usb ports don't put out enough power. It is rather slow to copy cds but works fine for playing them.
