It has processed all the media I have needed so far. I would like the open/close system to work better; it's not always easy to get the button to respond.

Packaging indicated included software with BluRay/DVD capabilities. Device is NOT BluRay capable. Still a good DVD write/re-write solution for driveless laptop.

It does a great job and I will be buying another just to have a backup for when the CD-rom goes out on my computers, again.

I needed a CD drive to install some software which I still have in CD format. The drive is Plug and Play, no drivers or software to install.

Slow, but does the job of burning on Mac.

A bit cumbersome to setup but it could be Mac’s problem, not LG. Good value compared to Apple’s own DVD burner. Don’t know the long term quality yet though.
