Real happy with this item. Previous purchase of a similar DVD driveled to frestrations and breakdowns.

This is a good CD drive since most PCs and Laptops do not have a drive anymore sadly. I did have to download Media software to actually use it on windows 10 which was a giant pain. It basically converts media into files.

My pc didn’t have an optical drive and I needed one just to install some drivers. The ones on the shelf were to expensive and an employee pulled this out for me because it was on sale. Great customer service.

I am still working on this one. I will be making a store visit for a little more guidance.

My MacBook Pro doesn't have an internal disc reader any longer and I still need to be able to access all my photo CD's. This drive works great for that application. Also lets me load softward that comes on CDs.

Almost everyone has gone digital. But this still works. Got for mom to connect to her computer to play dvds. She loves it and watching and collecting dvds is NOW her new hobby.

It works. Very sensitive to movement so do your best not to drop or heavily brush against it etc. make sure you set your computer bitrate to 320 So it converts the best audio.

Had a friend who had some old disks and needed to recover data from them, but no computer had the drives anymore. This worked great! Plug and play and there it was!

Works great. Glad I had bought it for my new AIO because I needed to load printer drivers, saved me.

Works with our laptops...only used it to play discs not write discs so far...got it for a lap top with no disc drive. Also used it with a laptop who's drive doesn't work well

The external drive gives me the flexibility to play the dvd/cds I have in my collection when needed.

My new laptop does not have an optical drive. This inexpensive device solved software that was not downloadable and allowed me to put music CD,s in my iTunes library. It is not Blue ray compatible. Works well for my concerns.

Though I’m not happy I had to purchase one because they don’t make these in computers anymore, this is a great addition to my laptop.

I don't use this every day, but so far it has read all my old cd's with no problem. I'm not writing to a CD so I don't know how well that will work. Mostly, I'm using it to pull data and put files on a flash drive.

Laptop did not have disc burner/reader so purchased to fill this need. Haven’t used yet but appears to do all I needed.

It worked well for what I needed it for, an external cd drive. It’s not overly noisy for slow. It’s thinner than the external drives I have had in the past, so you might want to get a case to keep it in. Overall a good product

Does exactly what it says. It reads, writes, and copies. It's very light weight and not a good way. I used Velco to stick it to the side of my computer stable!

Pretty straightforward external drive, reads and writes as expected. Feels very cheap since it's entirely plastic so some more careful handling is necessary, but otherwise exactly what I needed.
